The Consumer Team talk radio program will be addressing Halloween safety during a special broadcast on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 5-7PM on 1080 KRLD Radio, Dallas.    According to Pete Thomson, host of The Consumer Team, Plano Police Public Information Officer David Tilley will be a featured guest.  According to Thomson, “Our mission on The Consumer Team is to help our listeners in all aspects of their consumer life.  And right now, many North Texas consumers are thinking about Halloween, Trick-or-Treat and parties for the kids.”

Thomson added that Officer Tilley and the Plano Police Department have built a reputation for encouraging safety at Halloween.  Thomson said, “The Plano Police Department has embraced their community in very effective ways to encourage safety at Halloween.  Officer Tilley will be sharing Halloween safety information that everyone will find valuable.  He’ll also be sharing details about Plano’s city wide Halloween party for kids and families.  This celebration is a great alternative to traditional trick-or-treating on Halloween for North Texas.”

According to Thomson, The Consumer Team Halloween special broadcast will address a number of safety concerns.  Thomson added,  “We’ll talk about the best practices for keeping your kids safe on Halloween.  Beyond the common sense Halloween rules on accepting safe treats and candy, we’re going to address potential issues with costumes, traffic and the overall environment that kids are allowed to be in.   We’ll also talk about safety for adults who are celebrating.”

Officer David Tilley began working for the Plano Police Department in July 1997. During his tenure with the Department he has served as a Patrol Officer assigned to the Patrol Service Division and in 2011 was assigned to the Public Information Office.
