A recent Consumer Reports investigation into vitamins and supplements has identified 10 areas of danger for consumers.  Nancy Metcalf, Senior Editor with Consumer Reports Magazine, will be interviewed on The Consumer Team talk radio program regarding the investigation.   The program will be broadcast on Saturday, August 11 from 2-4 PM (Central) on 570 KLIF Radio, Dallas.

Pete Thomson, host of The Consumer Team commented on the interview.  “This investigation into vitamins and supplements was a  real eye opener.   I’ve been taking supplements for years and thought I had a pretty good handle on the issues with supplements.  The Consumer Reports investigation introduces some new areas of concern that have merit.”

Thomson added, “The vitamin and supplement investigation is the kind of project that Consumer Reports is uniquely qualified to oversee.  They have the resources to crunch the massive amount of data required in an investigation of this size and scope.  Also, because the competition between the supplement and pharmaceutical camps is so intense, an objective organization such as Consumer Reports was essential to get a fair and balanced interpretation of the data.”
