Halloween Safety Tips from The Consumer Team

The Consumer Team talk radio program will be addressing Halloween safety during a special broadcast on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 5-7PM on 1080 KRLD Radio, Dallas.    According to Pete Thomson, host of The Consumer Team, Plano Police Public Information Officer David Tilley will be a featured guest.  According to Thomson, “Our mission on The Consumer Team is to help our listeners in all aspects of their consumer life.  And right now, many North Texas consumers are thinking about Halloween, Trick-or-Treat and parties for the kids.”

Thomson added that Officer Tilley and the Plano Police Department have built a reputation for encouraging safety at Halloween.  Thomson said, “The Plano Police Department has embraced their community in very effective ways to encourage safety at Halloween.  Officer Tilley will be sharing Halloween safety information that everyone will find valuable.  He’ll also be sharing details about Plano’s city wide Halloween party for kids and families.  This celebration is a great alternative to traditional trick-or-treating on Halloween for North Texas.”

According to Thomson, The Consumer Team Halloween special broadcast will address a number of safety concerns.  Thomson added,  “We’ll talk about the best practices for keeping your kids safe on Halloween.  Beyond the common sense Halloween rules on accepting safe treats and candy, we’re going to address potential issues with costumes, traffic and the overall environment that kids are allowed to be in.   We’ll also talk about safety for adults who are celebrating.”

Officer David Tilley began working for the Plano Police Department in July 1997. During his tenure with the Department he has served as a Patrol Officer assigned to the Patrol Service Division and in 2011 was assigned to the Public Information Office.

Dr. Gary Donovitz Joins The Consumer Team

Dr. Gary Donovitz, an authority on natural hormone replacement therapy, is joining The Consumer Team talk radio program as a guest contributor.  Donovitz, a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist based in Arlington, Texas is an authority on hormone balance for both men and women.  In recent years, Dr. Donovitz has helped pioneer the development of bio-identical hormone pellets also known as pellet hormone therapy.  Pellet therapy is the process of inserting small hormone pellets under the skin, just behind the hip.  Dr. Donovitz is the President and Founder of BioTE Medical

Pete Thomson, host of The Consumer Team, commented on the addition of Dr. Donovitz to The Consumer Team.  “We’re excited about Dr. Donovitz joining our team.  Our research has shown that listeners are very interested in staying healthy and avoiding disease.  And listeners want to learn about hormone replacement.   We believe we’ve found one of the most credible authorities in the nation on natural hormone replacement therapy.   I know that Dr. Donovitz will bring very good information to The Consumer Team on KRLD.”

Hormone replacement therapy has been used for balancing hormones in women for years.  Recently, men have become aware of the benefits of hormone balance.   Thomson added,  “The consumer has be very careful when it comes to selecting a method of hormone replacement.   They need to be educated regarding the dangers of synthetic hormones.  They also need to make sure that they’re going to a professional who is properly trained.   Because Dr. Gary Donovitz is a respected leader in this field, he’ll be able to guide our listeners to have success.”

The Consumer Team will be heard Sunday, October 14, from 4-6PM Central on 1080 KRLD Radio in Dallas, Texas.  For more information and to listen live, go to
